TROPICAL STATE OF MIND DROPS 6/24/25 〰️

Tropical State Of Mind, the second EP from reggae artiste Causion, the official “Reggae Ambassador of Antigua & Barbuda” will be officially launched on June 24, 2025, at Tribeca Restaurant in Miramar, South Florida.

His songs Sunny Day has a distinct island/leisure feel, keeping with the Antiguan singer’s recent projects with Elite Island Resorts, a company that promotes Antigua as a tourist destination.

Causion, whose recent singles include the patriotic “Antigua Me Come From”, says helping to promote his homeland is the most gratifying and fulfilling professional accomplishments, topped only by his national award as “Commander of the Most Precious Order of Princely Heritage (CH)” for his contribution to community service, music, and his continued promotion of Antigua & Barbuda as a premier tourism destination.

“Working with Elite has been a great experience, which has afforded us the opportunity to tap into markets, that were by some measure challenging to penetrate previously. Our partnership with Elite has presented endless opportunities to reach new audiences, team up with other bands and promotors, there by diversifying the range of beats, lyrics, and acoustic accompaniment propelling us to greater and greater heights musically”.

Tropical State Of Mind also contains the title song and Caribbean Vacation. Causion co-produced the project with longtime collaborator Maurice Gregory, a veteran keyboardist

known for his work with Third World.

Tropical State Of Mind is his second EP, following Mission In Progress, which was released in 2023.

Since his association with Antigua Tourism Board five years ago, Causion says his songwriting has evolved.

“I found myself writing songs more about love and peace and how beautiful Antigua is and collaborating with other people in putting these projects together,” he explained. “As far as the topics are concerned, I’ve spent most of my life writing songs about what is happening around me at any given time and coming up with the topics to write about the tropical state of mind was very easy, because when you open your eyes and look at a country filled with so much things that you can write about, it was very easy to pick a topic and just run with it.”
